Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 16, 2026
1. Introduction
Almamente by Claudia Portella LLC (“Almamente,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit https://almamentebyclaudia.com/, book a discovery call, communicate with us, or participate in our online nutrition coaching services. By using our website or services, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect information that you provide directly, including your name, email address, and any information you submit through our discovery call booking form. When you become a client, you may voluntarily provide health, wellness, dietary, lifestyle, goal, and progress information during onboarding, coaching, or check-ins.
Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor. We may receive limited transaction details, such as payment status and purchase information, but we do not receive or store your complete payment card number.
We may receive information about your interactions with our Instagram profile and our Calendly booking system. We also use Google Analytics to collect browsing information automatically, which may include your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring URL, and approximate interaction times.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to deliver and personalize coaching services; communicate with clients and prospective clients; schedule, confirm, and follow up on calls; process enrollment and maintain business records; improve our website and services; respond to questions; protect our business and users; and comply with legal obligations. We send marketing emails only to people who opt in, and recipients may unsubscribe at any time.
4. Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to support website functionality and understand how visitors use the site. This includes Google Analytics 4, which helps us measure traffic, referring sources, and interactions. You can control cookies through your browser settings. You may also opt out of Google Analytics by using Google’s Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Disabling cookies may affect certain website functions.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only when reasonably necessary to provide services, operate our business, or comply with law. Service providers may include Calendly for scheduling, our email service provider for communications, our third-party payment processor for payments, Trainerize as the coaching app used to deliver programs, and Google Analytics for website measurement. These providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, subpoena, or other lawful process; to protect rights, safety, or property; or in connection with a business reorganization, merger, or transfer where permitted by law.
6. Data Retention
We retain client information for the duration of the coaching relationship and for seven years afterward when reasonably needed for tax, accounting, legal, and recordkeeping purposes. Some information may be retained longer if required by law or needed to resolve a dispute. Marketing subscribers may unsubscribe at any time; after an unsubscribe or valid deletion request, marketing-list data is removed within 30 days, except for limited records needed to honor the opt-out.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information. European Union residents may have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended. These may include the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or portability of personal information, and the right to opt out of marketing communications.
To submit a privacy request, email c@almamentebyclaudia.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some requests may be limited where retention is required by law or where another lawful exception applies. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our website and coaching services are intended for adults age 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
9. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. However, no internet transmission, electronic storage system, or security practice is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Third-Party Links
Our website may link to third-party websites and services, including Instagram, Calendly, Trainerize, and other resources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information.
